Giuseppe Pettine Award

About the Award

The Giuseppe Pettine Award is established by the Nuova Accademia di Jazz "Il Tetracordo" in collaboration with the Municipality of Isernia to honor the memory of the Isernia-born mandolinist Giuseppe Pettine. This award recognizes professional mandolinists who stand out for their dedication to the promotion and preservation of Pettine's music and the mandolin across various repertoires, including classical, contemporary, jazz, and folk. The objectives of the award are to highlight Pettine's musical legacy, promote mandolin composition and transcription, and encourage the creation of new works.

Career Award

Antonio Parascandolo 

Antonio Parascandolo, founder of the group "Bentornato Mandolino," is an expert mandolinist and double bassist. He studied at the Conservatory of Naples and has worked with notable names in music, participating in soundtracks and opera seasons. Since 1977, he has been a professor at the Conservatory of Campobasso and has significantly contributed to the promotion of the mandolin.

Award for the Promotion of Giuseppe Pettine's Musical Heritage 

Tiziano Palladino 

Tiziano Palladino, born in Campobasso in 1987, is a virtuoso mandolinist with an extensive classical repertoire and innovative arrangements. He holds diplomas in Mandolin and Double Bass, has won numerous international competitions, and has performed in major venues across Europe and the Americas. He also teaches mandolin and double bass and is responsible for publishing works for mandolin.

Award for the Innovation in Mandolin in Contemporary Music

Annalisa Desiata 

Annalisa Desiata is an artist and teacher with an international career in music. Graduating with top honors and numerous master’s degrees, she has performed in orchestras and chamber ensembles in Italy and abroad. She is a competition winner and teaches mandolin and music education. Currently, she is the general manager of publications for Aldebaran Editions and has curated significant musical revisions and transcriptions. She will receive the dedication of a new musical work composed for mandolin by composer Stephane Delplace.
