SEP. 7 - 10, 2023 ISERNIA (Italy)

A four-day workshop for instrumentalists, orchestral players and singers of all levels focusing on: Jazz Harmony, Intensive Jazz Vocal Instruction, Jazz Improvisation On Instrument, Big Band Training, Intensive Ensemble Instruction and Jam Session. Work groups may be organized by the instructors according to the levels of the participants. The workshop is led by double bassist and Jazz Ambassador Ari Roland, Saxophonists Zaid Nasser and Chris Byars, Drummer Keith Balla, trombonist John Mosca, bass clarinetist Stefano Doglioni and Pianist and Composer Stéphane Delplace.

Morning:

11:00am - 1:00pm  Jazz Harmony and Ear Training

This course is open to all instrumentalists and singers and is dedicated to basic and advanced harmonic movements in jazz applied to the instrument under the leadership of Ari Roland and Chris Byars.

Afternoon:

2:30pm - 4:00pm Vocal Class & Jazz Repertoire

This course is open to all instrumentalists and singers and is dedicated to interpretation of vocal Jazz repertoire, ensemble direction, creating arrangements, and practice routine development under the leadership of Ari Roland, Zaid Nasser and Keith Balla.

       4:00pm - 17:30pm  Jazz improvisation 

This course is open to all instrumentalists and singers and is dedicated to jazz improvisation techniques applied to the instrument and voice under the guidance of Chris Byars, John Mosca and Stefano Doglioni.

Late Afternoon:

7:00pm - 8:00pm - Intensive Ensemble Instruction and Jam Session

This course is open to all instrumentalists and singers and is dedicated to the performance practice of jazz ensemble in the form of jam sessions under the leadership of the Ari Roland Jazz Quartet.

Participation Fee:

€300,00 for 4 days or €100,00 for a single day

Accomodation:

Available at bed & breakfast establishments in agreement with Tetracordo or at private apartments. Tetracordo also offers a canteen service.
